Dyeing Disclaimer
The greatest care is always taken when mixing dyes to accurately match your chosen colour but please be aware that due to infinite variations in fabrics, textures and finishes we cannot always achieve a 100% colour match.
If a two tone swatch is provided we will mix the dye to the middle shade as we perceive it. It is impossible to mimic a two-tone effect.
The dye will be mixed in natural light conditions. The colour will vary when viewed under electric/natural light – electric light will cast a yellow tint and distort the colour match.
The fabric and original colour of the shoes will also affect the outcome of the dye. Ivory is the preferred colour to dye in most cases.
Elastic and straps may vary in colour from the main body of the shoe once dyed. Trims, beading, edgings, stitching, chiffons and pleats may cause the dye to dry a slightly paler or darker shade.
A minimal glue residue is unfortunately unavoidable around the sole and some other seams. Dye will not penetrate glue residue.
Dyed shoes and bags are not colourfast. If the shoes are likely to be worn in wet weather, a waterproof protector spray may be used. Please note that the use of a waterproofing spray may prevent the shoes from being dyed again successfully.
If shoes have previously been dyed, they can only be dyed to a darker shade. The application of a further coat of dye could cause the fabric to become patchy.
Pre-worn shoes can be dyed, however the dyeing process will not cover stains and scuffs.
To ensure consistency, all shoes for one wedding party should be dyed at once and preferably be of the same fabric.
The above conditions apply to the dyeing of Benjamin Adams, Belle and Pink by Paradox shoes and handbags. Should any of the above occur, Bridal House Ltd cannot be held responsible.
Any non Paradox London Ltd shoes are dyed at the customer’s own risk. Paradox London Ltd does not hold any responsibility for the finish of these shoes.
